The third DAREED Consortium meeting took place in Cambridge, UK on 17-19 September 2014. The meeting was held at one of the pilot sites – Cambridge Central Library.

On the first day the team reviewed work completed on the first two work packages: WP1 - Legal, social and economic requirements, specifications and state of art analysis at district level and WP2 - System Design and Knowledge Modelling. The first day also featured updates from the three pilot sites: Cambridgeshire UK, Lizzanello, Italy and Seville, Spain.

The second day consisted of technical workshops on current and upcoming work packages: WP3 - Modelling and Simulation for ICT platform; WP4 - Energy Management Tools for ICT platform; WP5 - Decision Support and Energy Awareness Tools; as well as progress on WP8 - Promotion, project dissemination and commercial exploitation. Useful discussions between partners helped to clarify approaches and plan progress.

The final half-day featured a presentation from Cambridgeshire County Council's Mobilising Local Energy Investment (MLEI) team providing an overview of a range of projects to improve energy efficiency and reduce CO2 across Cambridgeshire. The final half-day also covered preparations for the up-coming Technical review and Periodic report, and a discussion on the EIP SmartCities Action Clusters, in which the DAREED project has just been confirmed as a participant.
